The Cat in the Window Cafe, Aberdeen

Steven and I went to The Cat in the Window Cafe for his birthday in October.

I 100% booked a trip to the cafe as a surprise for Steven's birthday... because I really really wanted to go myself, and I knew he'd enjoy it too. Turns out he bloody loved it. So it was a win win.

So you pay £5.50 per person for your booking, and you get an hour slot of kitty cuddles.
They have all your usual cafe related drinks, as well as milkshakes and other daily specials and goodies.
We went around Halloween time, so Steven was able to get a halloween special hot chocolate complete with gooey sweets!
They had a vegan cake option too, which mean't I was able to chow down on some yummy goodness too, and didn't have to feel left out - I got a coconut and raspberry cake, which was delicious!

Now for the part you're all actually interested in... pictures of the adorable kitties.

Winter walks

Today's post is super photo heavy.

Steve and I decided to make the most of one of my afternoons off, and went for a lovely walk around Hazlehead Park in Aberdeen before the sun went down. It's getting towards the end of the month, so both of our bank accounts are bled dry so we are always looking for free things to do, and see.

The weather has been so lovely recently as we're right in between Autumn and Winter,  it is so frosty and beautiful.

Amidst exams and deadlines, we're having serious holiday withdrawal symptoms, so I that I would share some of the photos from our trip to Rome last summer.

Adventure Aberdeen: Victoria Park

Hey Guys,
So this is another instalment of Adventure Aberdeen, we went to Victoria Park which is across the road from Westburn Park so we chose to do both on the same day!
Victoria Park is very similar to Westburn Park, in that it's probably best to go there for a picnic, or to play some sort of sport in the park with your friends or family on a nice day.
Its of course free to go to, and is filled with families, runners and dog walkers all of the time because of the scenery.
It's full of loads of different plants, and trees and shrubs and things which is why Steve liked it so much being an Ecology student!
It is completely free, and as I said before it's perfect for a picnic, there are not any kids play areas on this side of the road, but Westburn Park has plenty!
I love this park because it has so much history, it opened in 1871.
And my favourite part was the fountain in the middle made from Fourteen different types of Granite. It's really easy to get to, it's within walking distance from the City Centre, the University - about ten minutes away!
